CNFA’s 3rd COVID Food Distribution Program Complete!

Our most recent Food Distribution Program came at a time of great need. Keya is experiencing a shortage of food, plus a very high inflation of what is currently available. There have been crop failures and, on top of all that, they are dealing with the third wave of the pandemic. With this third round, we were able to provide essential food products to over 1,100 families and delivery to the homes of 50 shut-ins.

This video shows Doreen expressing what the CNFA Food Distribution Program means to her.

CNFA’s 2nd COVID Food Distribution Program is complete!

This time, we were able to provide basic food to 1,226 families, as well as 101 elderly and disabled in their homes. Thank you to every single person who donated and allowed us to exceed our goal of reaching 1,000 families! In addition,100 pairs of like-new sneakers were distributed, which means the recipients are now protected from Jiggers and injury! Jerri, Victor and Johnstone have reported that the program was very successful and the communities grateful for the support!

Like-new Shoes Distribution!

These children have received some of the 130 pairs of new shoes being distributed through our Covid-19 Relief Program. Closed-toed shoes will protect their feet from Jiggers and from injury! Kids are often in bare feet…even when playing soccer!

The second round of our Covid response continues! In Humuyundi and Kegondi, food was distributed to a total of 288 families! Also, 23 home visits were done to deliver food and check on those who are unable to visit clinics! A very busy day for Jerri, Victor and Johnstone!

Aug 13th – We are so grateful to be able to provide basic supplies to 100 people unable to leave their homes. THANK YOU SO MUCH! to everyone that helps make our Covid Food Distribution Programs possible!

August 11, 2020 – Today is the start of our 2nd Food Distribution Program in the Vihiga region!

Jerri, Johnstone and Victor lead the team, helping to distribute basic food supplies to 1000! families PLUS 100 shut ins! Thank you to everyone that has donated and helped make this happen!

On Monday, June 29th, CNFA launched the COVID-19 Food Distribution Program in our communities around Vihiga.

Even though CNFA is unable to travel to Kenya this year, we have found a way to help. Due to restrictions on open food markets, along with devastating floods and destroyed crops from locust infestations, there has been difficulty accessing food.

A huge shout out to these gentlemen, who we work with every year, helping to complete the food distribution program! They have done a fabulous job and are such an integral part of the CNFA team.

Our first round of distribution helped to provide food for 850 families! Our second round of distribution has reached our goal to feed 1,000 more families! Thank you so much!

This sweet young boy brought his blind mother to the distribution area for their portion of our COVID-19 Food Distribution Program.

Donate today and help us provide food security for even more families in our Kenyan communities.
