Back at it today, week two clinic one. It was a slow and steady pace today with another approx 600 people cared for.  The village of Bukulanya is a beautiful place filled with a mixture of residents. A large elderly population and so so so many sweet children and babies.  

We had some follow up visits on hospitalized patients and some home visits today.

The Maternal child program was at it again teaching their fabulous content to the comminity health promotors. Their photos alwasy look so funny if you don't know what they are teaching. We hope you have learned a little bit about them over the past week

We had a visit from the Health Minister for Vihiga county today in clinic. He , along with some of his colleagues came in to learn about exactly what our clinics offer and encouraged the residents to be thankful for our contribution. While we don't rely on praise it was nice to feel supported by the local health leaders.

The team is doing well, we are all refreshed form our day off yesterday and our fun activiteis, focused and ready for another week in clinic. We are all healthy and injury free. While we are really happy to be here and helping, some of us may be starting to miss home just a little....we will get there once our work is done.
