Wounds are commonly seen in our daily clinics. Sources of wounds include burns (frequently from indoor fires for cooking), trauma, simple lacerations that have become infected, cellulitis and insect bites. After triage and assessment, nurses clean and bandage wounds, débridé wounds as necessary to promote healing, and teach individuals and families how to care for wounds.
CNFA supplies multiple bandaging options, topical antibiotics and systemic antibiotics for wound infections. For wounds requiring hospitalization, CNFA provides transportation to a hospital when possible.
